Gesvres footpath

From la Jonelière, you can run parallel to rivers forested by brush and shrubs accustomed to the flooding of the Erdre River. This luscious landscape was reputed in the 19th century for the richness of its fauna (peat bog and peat moss and peaty prairie). These plants were smothered by the development of alder and willow trees. o Exiting la Commune de Nantes, you must cross the area of Gesvrine to follow the promenade in the section upstream of the valley. o The Gesvres promenade connects with the Ruisseau des Renards for a length of 900m and that emerges at the Rue des Renards (foxes). (Tramway line 2, stop Boissière at 130 m)
